Should we start a new world for the Halloween update?

Ok so we are now back in the past now and not too far back but i am unsure of the difference made. We have had a suggestion that we start over especially in the Halloween update which is a possibility. What we need now is some votes from current members. If voted for a new world, what will happen is me and a crew will develop a new world and starting are which may take a while to create. But this way we wont have random towns anywhere and people will have to work to purchase land and grow. In the first initial weeks it will be inexpensive to purchase land and maybe make a couple new towns and after things are up and running again, all rules will then take place. I urge you to share your thoughts on this. If this is voted for i would like to get a new town up before the update. Which may mean a week of downtime for members as we spend time creating a new spawn town. A whitelist will now be in place so any new people wont be able to even get into the server just to look which is kind of not what i wanted but i think it is a must now.
But anyway the server is up and running from a few days back so feel free to jump on again and muck around but please make some sort of vote as to which you guys would prefer and take some time to think about it

Good revert hucky!
I vote for restart from scratch - the thing is, we need to generate the world map again after the halloween update - there are new block types. We have no assurance that the server making new land on exploration will work properly.
A team working to build before the update might not work as planned.
I vote for restart again so that on the first nightfall we are all scrambling to survive the night, that will be a blast.

Oh - there's land claim flags in update, so building shoudl be able to be enforced (no need for rules, people simply can't alter certain areas which works better

I'm fine with either option, but am leaning towards restarting after the upgrade so the new stuff added isn't miles away from the centre of the map. In the meantime the current map could be used to try out some anti-greifing scripts and maybe a bit of planning for the new map.
EDIT: The update will hopefully stop the item duplication bug so restarting after the update will get rid of the stuff obtained using that.

I agree though i'm not a member... MAKE ME ONE OF YOU MINECRAFT SERVER GOD HUCK... but i think thats a good idea to use the old(new for me) server.

I like the world so far, but I think most of the stuff there is just build without having a plan.
I dont like those endless roads leading to another town, what we really need for a good RPG server, is terraforming! (big style)
The world created has only few mountains, (IMO) endless fields, where ppl can walk around without having borders... without having orientation, always on the jump to say: "hey, this place looks so boring, Ill build an epic house right here!" (which might be the outcome of an ugly, non-finished project; build without any connection to the RPG server-"storyline")
What we need is:
- more natural borders -> to prevent dis-orientation and people doing whatever they want
- clear roads for players, but not those pure "stone-bridge-roads", try to make it more natural in between towns -> (also prevent dis-orientation)
- a good plan has to be made -> Use a Cartograph for example THIS ONE
- the information and use of all the several minecraft tools, which have been made (make things ALOT easier)
IMO there has to be a new server (restart) with someone, who has a really good plan (creating a random map, planning, maybe having a rough idea of a "storyline" for this RPG, terraforming, building); and then a team, which supports him...
Of course you can be creative in detail, but do as the Admin (or rather the plan that is made) says!
(If we stick to our old server, it's gonna be hard to overbuild stuff in a town, that has already been made)
In the end there has to be said:
Of course Minecraft is nothing but a small game in development, but if you don't brainstorm and always do the next thing that comes into your mind, you might mess up. (don't get me wrong and invest a lifetime into it, though. That wouldn't be right)

Iam quite sure, that we want a good RPG server.
So we need a good team to make this come true.
It's not an extremely huge project, but neither a small one.
